The central sapphire is a 2.51ct mixed pear cut, natural Ceylon sapphire.  It comes with a gemological certification, certifying that there is no evidence of heat treatment (unusual for a sapphire).  

This rare antique sapphire is set with two old cut diamonds into 18ct yellow gold, with a platinum setting.  The combination of modern & antique in this ring is stunning; combining to create an easy to wear engagement ring, or cocktail ring.
