Vintage heart locket

A lovely vintage heart locket featuring delicate engraved detailing to the front.  Crafted in rolled gold.

Rolled gold is created by bonding a layer of gold to a base metal.  It contains significantly more gold than standard gold plating, and was widely used in vintage jewellery.

This locket pendant is in very good condition; the locket is slightly stiff to open, but closes securely.  It is suspended from a modern gold-filled chain, available in either 16" or 18" (photographed on a 16" chain - please specify your preferred length in the notes section at checkout).
